(copyright imdb)I am always happy to watch new Romanian movies. Therefore, I could not miss the new movie directed by Bogdan Mirica, especially since I enjoyed very much his movie Dogs.

Masters
Masters of playing with the nerves of others exist. Such is the case of the pigeon in the picture below.

Speed
Through the fence, the postman yells at the man sitting in the yard.
'I brought you the STB card. It must be a year since you requested it, right? asks the postman.
'The STB card?' The man looks over the envelope. 'Oh, yeah, now it's almost two years.'
'Yes, only now did they start to send them', the postman says laughing.
Inevitably, this reminded me of the fact that I had to wait for four years to receive the money that was supposed to be paid to me for a translation I made. Still, the STB moves quicker.

Life without death
Fragmented immortality. Yes, I think we can access this.
I realized it yesterday evening when, laughing and talking with some cousins
we started reminiscing about moments when our grandparents were still alive and
we were constantly engaged in rogueries.
And I don’t know much about life nor death, but I do know that during these moments we were all immortals. We reminiscing and they, too.
The driftless keep
on laughing.

From the movies
I heard this in a Spanish movie and it made me ponder:
La verguenza y la dignidad son problemas de la casa sin dinero. (translated into English - Shame and dignity are problems of the home without money.)

It's a sign
When I first learned about the Symbolism, I knew I would adore it. So much that it seems to me I am unknowingly looking for it. This is why when I saw this pencil, I could not but take it as an incentive. And a background tune from the Fat Boy Slim.
Incentive acknowledged.

Victory
I am so very happy today. I found out about a long-awaited victory.
Which proves the fact that sometimes things turn out just as they are supposed to.
Vivat!

Arges – a cultural magazine
Elves exist, I tell you. When I opened the big white envelope that could not fit the mailbox, I did not expect to see a cultural magazine. Then, I remembered that a while back an elf asked for my postal address and here’s the surprise. Come to think about it, I may be luckier than I thought, and the number of elves watching over my happiness is bigger than expected.
A call to action – have you recently said thank you to the elves in your life? If not, take this as a sign that it’s high time you did.
I must admit that when I first touched the magazine, I thought about dad, how he would enjoy analyzing the font and the layout. His daughter made him proud and took a peek at the thirty two pages of the magazines, and after that she starting reading it.
I don’t know how is it for you, but I love the smell and feeling of paper. I love how books smell and I cannot truly enjoy a book unless I can perform the highest ritual when reading a book, turning the page. Thus, I will always buy books. But it is a while since I last held a magazine in my hands. And this was a nice experience. And made me nostalgic of a time when I used to browse through newspapers every day.
The cultural magazine Arges can cater for all tastes. It has literary
criticism, feature reports, poetry and prose, but also other various interesting
articles. And writing about variety, I truly think anyone can find something
enjoyable to read in its pages.
If you, just like me, haven’t held for some time a magazine in your hands,
be it cultural or not, here’s a second call to action – buy it and read it.

Powers
For a while now, every time we meet, my nephew tries to lift me up whenever we embrace. Given that I am still very tall, he cannot lift me entirely, but for a couple of seconds my toes don’t touch the ground. It may happen that in a couple of years he will spin me around his head, like a real ahtlete. Who knows?!
But this picture can certify that, out of the two of us, it was I who first lifted
him. And it was quite easy to hold him on only one arm, while with the other I
could do something else. Sometimes, when one looks at a picture one realizes how strong one is. The problem is that one needs others in order to realize this. And
it’s good that others exist. These others, I mean.
